Dean Lewis

Dean Lewis’ first single ‘Waves’ was written in a small, picturesque town in Northern London with UK producers Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway, and was mixed by Dan Grech (Halsey, Josef Salvat, Circa Waves). Lewis’ haunting falsetto taking centre stage amidst cathedral-like production, ‘Waves’ drapes bittersweet memory over a softly insistent guitar, before layers of urgent harmonies and hammering rhythm combine to transform meditative into majestic. It’s a bold statement first time out, but Lewis balances intimacy and intensity perfectly, and the dappled regrets he sings of feel genuine and human.
